Body Building Nutrition And Diet

Body building requires both exercise and proper diet. Nutrition is a major component in successful body building. Proper exercises and diet go hand in hand for achieving a good and fit body. Without adequate nutrition, the entire purpose of gaining muscle mass will be defeated. Body building is related to gaining muscle mass and for that you must have a diet which is a blend of 40% protein, 40% carbohydrates and 20% fat.

You must understand that body building is an art and there is no magic involved in it. It takes some time for our bodies to get accustomed to the changes in our diet and workout schedule. For the first two weeks, it is important to cut out the fats from our diet. During this time you can go for skinless chicken, boiled food and lean red meats to derive nutrition. For the next two weeks you have to remove refined sugar products. Get rid of sodas, sweets and table sugars. During the next 14 days span, make a habit of drinking 8 ounces of water every day and 16 ounces during an exercise session.

Body building requires hard work and dedication. You have to calculate your daily calorie intake by dividing it evenly between protein and carbohydrates. Fat consumption should be less to gain optimum nutrition. Although you have to be choosy about what you eat during body building, a select few items have always featured at the top of the diet list providing maximum nutrition.

Chicken and turkey are also essential with 0% carbohydrates. Chicken consists of 48% protein and 48% fat, while turkey consists of 22% fat and 73% protein. Fish has high protein percentage and almost 0% carbohydrates and fats and it surely features in the list. Beans, legumes, water, lean red meat, Glycemic carbohydrates and whey protein supplement with their store house of nutrition are other items which feature in the diet list for gaining mass.
