You have to calculate your daily calorie intake by dividing it evenly between protein and carbohydrates. Fat consumption should be less to gain optimum nutrition. Although you have to be choosy about what you eat during body building, a select few items have always featured at the top of the diet list providing maximum nutrition. Egg whites are a must in the muscle building diet. They provide excellent nutrition with the protein percent being 84%. They have 0% fat and 8% carbohydrates as well. Chicken and turkey are also essential with 0% carbohydrates. Chicken consists of 48% protein and 48% fat, while turkey consists of 22% fat and 73% protein. Fish has high protein percentage and almost 0% carbohydrates and fats and it surely features in the list. Beans, legumes, water, lean red meat, Glycemic carbohydrates and whey protein supplement with their store house of nutrition are other items which feature in the diet list for gaining mass.
